Welcome to the London Film Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the London Film Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.

Presented by the BFI, the Festival celebrated its 51st anniversary in 2007. Originally conceived as a 'festival of festivals', screening a selection of strong titles from other European festivals, the first London Film Festival screened 15 films from an impressive array of directors, including Luchino Visconti, Akira Kurosawa and Andrzej Wajda.
We differ from a lot of other European films festivals in being primarily about bringing film to the public. We offer opportunities for people to see films that would not otherwise get a UK screening - some may never be screened again in this country - but also screen films which will get a release in the autumn or spring.…...more!
